Micro Grid Installations

EPC Solar is at the forefront of the most innovative and cutting-edge renewable and solar energy technology.

How it works

EPC Solar will design and create a micro grid tailored to your energy needs, incorporating lighting, HVAC systems, elevator management, battery storage, vehicle charging and much more. Our systems range from 100 kilowatts to 10 megawatts and can utilise recycled materials to minimise waste.

We handle everything from site selection, including consultation with stakeholders and environmental assessments, all the way through to the complete design and installation of mechanical, electrical and civil services.

Micro Grid Installation

At EPC Solar, we specialise in micro grid installations for a range of different facilities including mine sites, remote communities and commercial embedded networks. Micro grids allows you to power your facility through the generation of power provided from various power generating technologies. The technology is flexible and can be disconnected from the traditional grid to function autonomously during inclement weather and power outages.

This effectively creates a self-sustained means of power and protects you from blackouts, while also reducing your electricity costs and environmental impact.

Virtual Power Plants (VPP)

A Virtual Power Plant or VPP is a network of decentralised generation/storage units. This could range from wind farms to rooftop solar and battery storage.

In the case of residential solar and batteries, a Virtual Power Plant connects multiple solar PV systems and battery storage units across different sites which are then connected virtually.

The concept of a Virtual Power Plant is to bring together many batteries across the country to form one big virtual battery, when the price of power goes up on the wholesale energy market these batteries will discharge together and earn the VPP provider money. Most VPP providers will then share some of the revenue to the battery owner but each VPP offering is different.

EPC Solar is currently establishing the Canberra Commercial VPP, please contact us for further information.
