A Battery Energy System sits with the load. You draw from it when tariffs spike, the feeder is tight, or the grid drops. That is the job. Everything else is how we specify it.

What it is

Containerised BESS, and BESS in a plant room, sized to the switchboard and the network connection. Protection, fire, access and controls are designed with the battery, not after it.

FCAS

Frequency Control Ancillary Services help maintain the stability of Australia’s electricity system. A suitable battery may be able to respond quickly when the market requires additional support and receive revenue for providing that service.

Participation depends on the battery, site connection, market registration and operating requirements.

ARBITRAGE

Energy prices change throughout the day. Battery storage can capture lower cost energy and make it available when electricity is more expensive.

The value depends on the site’s energy use, tariff, peak demand, connection, and market conditions. No two sites will produce the same result.

Energy optimisation brings generation, storage and electricity use together across a site, precinct, or portfolio. The opportunity may extend beyond one installation to an embedded energy network or a group of sites operating together as a virtual power plant.
